The Russian premiere of the Bulgarian documentary "Rainy Day" (2013, 78 min.) was held on 20 May in the White Hall of the Cinema House with the support of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute.

The author Andrey Chertov is a director, scriptwriter, director of photography and producer who has been living and working in Bulgaria for several decades on. Now he is showing to the audience a special film. The characters in his documentary are musicians, men of art and thanks to them Plovdiv became the center of the cultural life in the country. And although that today they call themselves with a  smile  "bohemians", in the 1960s and 1970s they created a world which is now causing admiration.

Very delicately and unostentatiously Andrey Chertov proposes us to remember the names of the composer and jazz piano player Milcho Leviev, of the jazz guitar player Ognyan Videv, of the actress and singer Maya Novoselska and many others who have inspired hundreds of artists and musicians. Life may today has spread them all around the world but they all have something in common and this is the city of Plovdiv.

The famous Russian film director Vadim Abdrashitov - friend, colleagues and co-student of Andrey Chertov at the Russian State University, draw the attention to the unbelievable lyricism of this black-and-white film. At the premiere of the film in the White Hall of the Cinema House in Moscow Vadim Abdrashitov spoke about the fact that "Rainy Day" is a must see by the Russian documentary makers especially the young ones. According to Abdrashitov this film will have a great future. Following the decision of the jury the film "Rainy Day" by Andrey Chertov will present Bulgaria at the XXIII Golden Vitiaz International Film Festival in Tomsk.
