A creative evening of the Bulgarian literature expert Ivaylo Pterov, professor at the University of Shoumen was held in the hall of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute. Petrov is a member of the Union of Russian writers. He has been the author of "The prose by Vasiliy Shukshin : the artistic world of the author", acknowledged as the best monograph about the creative work of Shukshin in Europe. Petrov has been written also books about the writer Yuri Druzhnikov and the poet Yuri Kuznetzov, written together with Lola Zvonariova.
Ivaylo Pterov is well-known in Moscow. Each autumn, with the support of the Municipality of Shoumen, Days of Russian culture are held. Thanks to these Days during the past 12 years about 100 Russian writers and artists representing different generations have visited the region of Varna.
Ivaylo Petrov is also the founder of "Axios" Publishing House. The active expert in literature and lecturer at the University in Shoumen has organized several scientific conferences both in the university and in the Institute for qualification of teachers in Varna. The conferences are focused on the modern Russian literature and on the works by different writers such as Albert Lihanov, Yuri Druzhnikov and others.
Through "Axios" Publishing House Ivaylo Petrov released on the market books by Yuri Druzhnikov, Vladimir Bondarenko, Alla Bolshakova, Olga Harlamova and Zulfia Alkaeva. Todor Ignaotov, the Chief artist of Varna Drama Theatre was invited to make some of the illustrations of the books. Ivaylo Pterov is also taking part in the preparation of books about Russian authors, published by other publishing companies - in Sofia and in Veliko Turnovo.
Ivaylo Petrov is regularly taking part in the international conferences held at the Institute for world literature at the Russian Academy of Science, "M. Gorki" Literature Institute as well as in pedagogue readings at Gaydarovka. Lola Zvonariova, co-organizer of the Days of the Russian culture in Varna region spoke about the wide activities of Ivaylo Pterov.
Natalia Bazhenova, an artist from Moscow, winner of the price "The Golden Brush", organized an exhibition in the hall of the BCI including pictures made during the creative meeting. She presented a portrait of Ivaylo Pterov and then gave it to him as a gift.
Andrey Turkov - the patriarch of the Russian science of literature, spoke about his long relations with Bulgaria. Lev Anninskiy and Victor Lunin also spoke about their creative relations with Bulgarian writers.
Alexander Kuvakin, Vladimir Dagurov and Olga Harlamova read their latest poems. Olga Harlamova presented her new book. Alexander Sharipov proposed jubilee Ilinski readings to be organized in the frames of the next edition of the Days of the Russian culture in Varna region. His proposal was immediately accepted.
Arshak Ter-Markaryan and Oxana Sorokina also spoke about their love to Bulgaria.
The artist Lyubov Yukina remembered her solo exhibitions organized by Ivaylo Petrov in Shoumen and in Varna as well as the presentations of her books held there.
Ivaylo Pterov said that what impressed him most in the week in Moscow were the performance of "Songs of our communal" by Mark Rozonskiy, the book "Mamma, Daddy, me and Stalin" and the visit in the editorial room of "Literaturnaya Gazeta" newspaper.
At the end the writers gifted their books to the BCI and we can easily make a little library. The artist Nataliya Bazhenova also made a present - a picture of the Moscow "The Old Arbat" Street.
With Bulgarian banitza and red wine served by the BCI, the conversations lasted till late at night.
